Low stock alerts and automatic restocking requests

Purpose

1. To detect when critical spare parts or consumables in aircraft maintenance inventory drop below a defined threshold and instantly alert staff, while optionally triggering purchase or restocking workflows with suppliers, ensuring operational continuity and regulatory compliance.

2. Minimize aircraft downtime, prevent AOG (Aircraft on Ground) events, and optimize inventory holding costs through automated notifications and restocking actions across multiple channels and ERP integrations.

Trigger Conditions

1. Inventory level ≤ predetermined minimum stock threshold for any part number or SKU.

2. Regularly-scheduled checks via API/database query show new shortages.

3. Manual adjustments submitted by technicians reduce stock to or below set limit.

4. Supplier backorder status update triggers if pending items remain unfulfilled beyond a period.
