Vendor order placement based on inventory levels

Purpose

1. Automate end-to-end vendor order placement when inventory for medications, medical supplies, or consumables in animal hospitals drops below defined thresholds.

2. Mitigate stockouts, maintain critical care readiness, optimize order cadence, reduce manual tracking and intervention, and ensure compliance with regulatory and procurement policies.

3. Integrate inventory and purchasing systems, update and reconcile records, notify stakeholders, and track order status post-submission.

Trigger Conditions

1. Real-time or scheduled stock level monitoring identifies when item quantity < reorder point.

2. Manual input or automated batch data sync flags an item for replenishment.

3. Time-based triggers (weekly, daily) aggregate low-inventory items for bulk ordering.

4. Regulatory requirements force specific minimum inventory levels.
