Secure file transfer workflows

Purpose

1.1. Facilitate highly secure, auditable transfers of proprietary CAD files, research documents, and sensitive engineering data internally and with external partners or clients.
1.2. Ensure compliance with industry standards (ITAR, ISO 27001, NIST), encrypt data in-transit, enforce access controls, prevent data leakage, and enable automated alerts and logging for every transfer event.
1.3. Cover ad-hoc engineer-to-engineer exchange, automated project document distribution, and cross-organization supplier submissions.

Trigger Conditions

2.1. New, updated, or uploaded file detected in specified secure repository or network folder.
2.2. Receipt of project phase change in ERP or PLM system.
2.3. Scheduled transfer window reached (e.g., daily batch, milestone delivery).
2.4. Client or partner submits file request via web portal or integrated ticketing system.
