Integration with delivery services for tracking updates

Purpose

1.1. Automates the real-time integration of comic book store order systems with delivery service APIs to send, receive, and track shipping status.
1.2. Delivers tracking numbers, status notifications (e.g., shipped, out for delivery), and proof of delivery updates directly from carrier partners to store backends and/or customer-facing portals.
1.3. Enables automated notification flows to customers (via email, SMS, webhooks) with live delivery updates.
1.4. Automates handling exceptions (e.g., delays, failed attempts) and updating order records without manual input.
1.5. Facilitates storage of historic and in-flight delivery data for analytics, reporting, and customer support automation.

Trigger Conditions

2.1. New order shipment created or marked as “dispatched” in POS or ecommerce platform.
2.2. Carrier-specific tracking number assigned to an order.
2.3. Status change webhook or API push received from delivery platform (in-transit, delivered, exception, etc.).
2.4. Manual request for tracking status by store staff or customer (through dashboard, chatbot, or API call).
2.5. Automation of scheduled tracking status checks (e.g., polling every X hour for status change).
