Certification expiry and renewal alerts

Purpose

1. Ensure all Alsace restaurant staff certifications (food safety, hygiene, allergen handling) are valid and renewed on time, preventing compliance breaches, service interruption, and fines.

2. Provide timely automated alerts to managers and employees for certification expiry, supporting regulatory adherence and efficient HR management.

3. Maintain digital records and renewal processes to minimize manual HR workload, fostering staff accountability and audit readiness.


Trigger Conditions

1. Scheduled scan of HR database detects a certification expiration date within a specified window (e.g., 60/30/7 days before expiry).

2. Manual entry/update of staff certification in the record triggers countdown to alert.

3. System detects missing certification uploads for newly onboarded or recertifying staff.

4. Failure to confirm renewal within a defined grace period triggers escalation alerts to supervisors.
