Batch processing for similar orders

Purpose

1. Automate the batch processing of similar takeout orders to reduce manual effort, minimize errors, accelerate kitchen operations, and improve customer satisfaction.

2. Enable bulk grouping, automated printing, and coordinated dispatching of orders sharing characteristics (menu items, delivery area, time window).

3. Maintain real-time synchronization across POS, kitchen, delivery, and accounting systems to ensure efficient automated order flows.

4. Support scaling during peak hours by automating segmentation and queues for similar order types.

Trigger Conditions

1. Automator identifies when multiple orders with identical or closely matched items, delivery locations, or pickup times are received within a set time frame.

2. Batch-trigger event can be a threshold count of similar orders, periodic cron timer, or system-detected surge in particular menu items.

3. Orders flagged for automated batching by tags, time slots, or predefined menu combinations.
