Tracking and escalation of overdue clinical communications

Purpose

 1.1. Automate tracking and escalation of overdue clinical communications (radiology reports, referral requests, follow-up instructions) for MRI centers.

Trigger Conditions

 2.1. A report or clinical communication is marked as sent but not acknowledged within a set timeframe (e.g., 24/48/72 hours).
 2.2. An assigned recipient (referring physician, shift lead, admin) has not accessed or replied to critical messages.
 2.3. Time-based rules, workload thresholds, or manual flagging initiate escalation steps automatically.
